Do I have to pay for Cost Proposal ?

SIL does not charge for estimating the rough cost.





It sounds interesting but can I test you with a small test project?

Yes, we are open to do a small test project.





What information do you need so that you can quote a cost & time?

For a rough cost & time estimate, we need an informal project description and required functionalities.




How can I monitor and control project development progress?

There are many possible ways by which you can monitor the progress of project:

  • We provide you the project/module prototype along with our detailed technical approach.
  • We provide you with regular status reports.
  • We break-up the total delivery into multiple milestones and deliver all updated documents alongwith each delivery. Our Iternation delivery model helps you to control the project precisely.
  • We give frequent online Demos of the completed work.
  • Proper versioning is maintained. We may maintain the proper versioning directly at your system with proper CVS implemented.




Who is the owner of the Source Code ?

Normally, the source code produced for your project, is owned by you. This is, however, agreed as per the Project Contract.




How do I protect my Intellectual Property?

In India, the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of computer software is covered under the Copyright Law. Accordingly, the copyright of computer software is protected under the provisions of Indian Copyright Act 1957. Major changes to Indian Copyright Law were introduced in 1994 and came into effect from 10 May 1995. These changes or amendments made the Indian Copyright law one of the toughest in the world.




What sort of coverage is provided for bug fixing and maintenance?

During the Development
- at no extra cost

After the Development – but within the Warranty (Agreed in Contract)–
-at no extra cost

After the expiry of Warranty period
As per the terms of maintenance contract or on agreed hourly rate.




What are typical software product deliverables?

Depending on the project and your requirement, the project may contain the following deliverables:

Do you use proper coding standards so that my team can maintain it later?

We follow proper coding standards, which includes coding comments and naming conventions. All programming comments and naming convention will follow English language rules.




What sort of acceptance criteria can we use?

Acceptanc criteria can be briefly defined in SRS or can be separately defined in form of detailed test cases. Each completed module should be tested and accepted by you.
